A singing teacher with extensive experience, Kathie trained as a woodwind player before teaching music in London secondary schools and then going into music theatre. Organisations she has worked with include the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, Opera Northern Ireland, Opera Theatre Company Dublin, The National Theatre London and Druid Theatre Galway.
Kathie offers one-to-one tuition to students of all ages and abilities. Kathie’s calm and relaxed approach to teaching allows students to feel comfortable whilst learning and building on their singing skills and techniques.
For children of primary and middle school age, lessons are taught within school time. Young person and adult lessons are taught privately. Lesson duration is 20 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on student/parent preference.
Kathie teaches the Trinity College Rock and Pop syllabus, the ABRSM (theory-based) syllabus and also teaches for musical theatre exams. All exams are optional.
